January 10, 2022 - Stellar! So fresh and balanced, with notes of pencil shavings, minerals, licorice and dark cherries. Long, with gentle notes of clean earth, new leather, flowers and wood. Amazingly delicious, with no hard edges. Was fantastic and then went to next level with food!

August 28, 2021 - Annual Wine Group Summer Event - BBQ Brisket at Siggy's (Siggy & Jenny's Place, Mpls, MN): Small tasting pour. Brief note. This was flaming from the start; absolutely gorgeous, poised, harmonious and classy, earthy, pencil, pristine cassis and dark red fruits, wow, great bottle and my WOTN.

August 28, 2021 - Same btl as I Rather Be Drinking Wine. This was a beautifully mature old school CA Cab with a killer nose, placid elegance & layers of fruit & tertiary notes in spades. My WOTN. Only regrets, I couldn't have more than one pour at a recent wine group party. I'm sure others lucky enough to get a glass loved it too! Thanks Jason!

August 28, 2021 - Wine Group Picnic at Steve's: double decanted at 2:00 for a 5:00 wine tasting. This bottle was amazing! Nose showed black and red fruit, leather, earth and tobacco, with hints of spice and bramble. The palate followed suit with a nice balance between fruit and tertiary flavors. This was right in my wheelhouse! My number two wine of the night amongst some very fine wines!

This wine has the fortitude to go for another 5 years without losing any of the flavors that make this wine stand out. An excellent wine that makes you stand up and take notice! A good value and a great wine, IMO! No hurry, but you will not be disappointed if you open one soon!

August 24, 2021 - CLT Wine Dinner (Mini-LMHB vertical, Aged 20+ yr Napa, and Aged 10+ yr Pinot) (Charlotte, NC): Slo-ox 2.5 hours before serving.
    Color: Dense, dark blackberry.
Nose: Aged leather, cedar and graphite.
Palate: Full bodied, muscular, and concentrated. Well woven flavors of black cherry, blackcurrants, and blackberries. Excellent balance of rich flavors and enjoyable earthiness. An elegant wine with a plush mouthfeel.
    Finish: Long and silky.
A great wine. New world fruit in an old world style. The way California wines should be!
