August 12, 2023 - Similar to bottle opened yesterday and enjoyed with salmon. This was less good of a pairing with fire grilled steaks. Certainly still a nice wine. Some left the second day was darker fruited and richer.

August 12, 2023 - Decanted an hour or two before tasting. Bright ruby. Nose is quite forward and slightly flamboyant with red florals, red cherry, wet stones, and some sweet spice notes. Palate has good texture and a certain lightness on the tongue that I found attractive. Bright acidity not significant tannin to speak of, stony minerals, raspberry, cherry and a fairly long saline finish. Great with grilled salmon. Good value that has taken some time to show at its best.

June 10, 2020 - Last of 6 and the best. It required all of its 10+ years to develop true varietal (Pinot noir) character attractively coupled with raspberry notes, complexity, a long finish and an elegant medium to full body. So sorry I didn’t wait. To this time I had found the wine a touch disappointing. But all was redeemed with this bottle and the preceding bottle as well which hinted at this positive development.

April 2, 2020 - Just magnificent now...raspberry, cherry, black tea. Savory and elegant.

October 29, 2016 - I actually "lost" this bottle and 3 others for a year or two. It was covered up by some other bottles and I had tagged the bottle as "Missing or Presumed Drunk" in Cellartracker. This is a nice pinot. Still cloudy with an odd "spritz" that I just cannot explain, but it otherwise reminds me of a burgundy. I think it improved since my last bottle. What a nice surprise.
