October 5, 2020 - The nose reeks of tar and liquorice with a particularly dark fruited palate of plums, blackberry and dark chocolate. The long palate harmonises the fine tannins and the supporting fruit. The savoury fruit is top notch. This is the best O'Shea of a bigger expression that I have enjoyed. The 2000 vintage is a much more elegant expression but this is a standout Hunter shiraz that will live for some years. It went beautifully with Italian food.

March 28, 2020 - 7-10 years too soon. This feels like it’s stuck in third gear at the moment. Everything is in balance but in a bit of a muted phase, in what is a fairy well-restrained vintage for O’Shea. One of the first classically styled vintages coming after the silly ‘blockbuster’ mid-2000s era. Enjoyable now but would like to come back to the rest once tertiary has kicked in.

March 6, 2020 - World class booze, without fault. Still has plenty of fruit, tannins are soft and silky, lovely mouthfeel. Earthy Hunter Valley goodness. Yum!!
