February 2, 2014 - I need to put a lock and key on this excellent Mourvedre, for I can’t resist getting into it. It keeps getting better with every bottle. This wine is spectacular and so far under the radar-- I regret typing every keystroke…

March 11, 2013 - Gorgeous blue fruit with violets, a bit of earth and meat on the palate. Very smooth and silky palate.

Tight on the finish, yet silky with no harsh edges. Excellent. This will continue to improve over the next few years.

October 15, 2012 - Fun and pretty with lots of wild blackberries, blueberry compote, leather, pencil shavings that were heavy on the graphite and pretty oak. Similiar on the palate but some spikey alc. Very pretty wine that is enjoyable just wish it was a lil more food friendly.

December 4, 2011 - This medium bodied mourvedre from Gilbert Cellars is sourced from 24K Vineyard, located in Mattawa, Washington, Wahluke Slope AVA. It exhibits scents of blackberries, cherries and baking spices. A very smooth textured wine with flavors of blackberries, baking spices, vanilla and tobacco. It is well balance with an excellent finish. Excellent!
