July 7, 2021 - Really like this. Still very expressive fruit, and depth of flavor, with some secondaries emerging, thought it was drank so fast didn't have a chance to see where it goes. I think these have life left.

December 8, 2020 - Still some life in this bottle. Some age is of course apparent but a ton of fruit with a bit of tannins remaining.

July 3, 2020 - So, that part in that note from 2017 where I said "starting to slide a bit towards the reductive end of the spectrum"? Here's where I stand up and say 2017 me was, in fact, wrong, or at least misguided by a little bottle variation.

To be sure, tonight's bottle is fully resolved, with no discernible tannins. But neither is there any sign of oxidation, or notes of prune. What we have here is a wine that has the RRV fruit you expect, but minerality and brief flashes of mint and saltwater. If your last bottle shows like our last bottle just did, you'll feel satisfied that you maximized your pleasure.

May 3, 2020 - At about 10 years of bottle age, Ryan can either be incredible-as good as any US pinot -or above average. This was above average but very well done. Did improve with time in glass/bottle.

April 13, 2020 - This wine is singing right now. Sweet red fruits, a bit of earthy tones developing. Smooth on the palate with a great finish.
