Community Tasting Notes 2

June 30, 2012 - A bargain for 9€. Small producer. Bought at the vineyard. Can't understand why the wines from Bergerac/Pécharmant aren't more famous. Slightly opaque purple with a brownish edge. Well balanced with maturity notes of barnyard, cedar, plums, cacao, sandy tannins, more than medium acidity, medium length. Drink now, with or without entrecôte!

November 28, 2011 - Note: This wine needs 2 hours breathing or decanting.

Brown muddy color, and an alcoholic nose mislead what actually is a very tight wine with multiple layers of flavors, that invites to be played and sipped to get more of it. An slight chemical background, non unpleasant, makes me think that it's time to drink it and not store it any more. Roots and dried forest fruits, very nicely balanced. A pity that the finish wasn't any longer.
An astounding quality for the price. I went to buy more after trying the first bottle, but couldn't find it.
