April 15, 2020 - On PnP, the cork was clean, minimal sediment, and in the glass, it was dark purple with no signs of oxidation. On the nose, there was blackberry and flower. On the palate, this was still a big monster. Mouth-drying tannins, purple fruit, minimal oak, and heat from alcohol. Overall, this remains in really good shape and could go longer, although I don't know if it would improve. It's big and rich, and I think well-made, but lacks complexity.

December 4, 2011 - This is a wonderful wine, very balanced with excellent integration of fruit, earthiness, and light cocoa. Still a touch tannic, but very young in the grand scheme of things. It is very similar to the 2004 Insignia.
