September 12, 2012 - Intense nose of blackberry, lavender and sandalwood. The palate starts with bold flavors of dried cherry, blackberry, vanilla and chocolate, but the finish is thin, grapey and hot with a pretty high acidity.

October 30, 2011 - A smashing bottle from Elderton -- this Shiraz gives the depth and fleshy fruit notes that I expect from the Command. Intense fruit, with a bit of flashy oak now, this wine shows great potential for improvement in the next 3 years or so. A big step up from the Friends line for just a few dollars more. Very well done!
