  June 5, 2018 - Little funky to start so allow about 30 minutes before serving.
  
  Best sip was the last, about 90 mins after opening. Not for those that can’t appreciate the quirkiness of the wine.

  March 19, 2016 - Bring on da funk. Almost impenetrable VA and barnyard at first, but after decant and vigorous swirl and about 25 min, it began to show texture and character. Acid, lemon rind, bitter/nutty finish, and indeed melon notes. Will revisit second half of bottle tomorrow. Second night: holds up very well, with distinct notes of salted caramel. Almost sweet finish.
