January 25, 2023 - The 09 Genaivrieres has a translucent light ruby/deep pink rim, a colour we normally associate with older Pinot Noir. Interestingly quite common in the younger vintage of Domaine Leroy I’ve come across. Gorgeous bouquet of ripe black cherry, intensely fragrant rose petals and exotic spices (that many Burgundy drinkers crave for in the finest Pinot Noir), cloves and underbrush. Sweet ripe fruits with graceful tannins, exquisite aromas and wonderfully satisfying finish. Equally as delicious the 99 Genaivrieres served next to it. (93/100)

April 14, 2017 - Weekend of food and wine; 4/13/2017-4/16/2017 (Las Vegas): Very powerful nose, really a lot going on here, gamey red fruit, some floral undertones, still very youthful. Palate shows great complexity, precision and balance. This was a real treat and very much enjoyed, would love to see the development with some more time in the cellar. 96+

June 23, 2016 - Animale and complex nose of rose petals, stems, Asian spices, and wood. Missing the sweetness of the Boudots, as the fruit does not support the higher acidity. Possesses lots of energy and the aromatics alone are worth the admission price, but this is not at the level of the Boudots or Beaux Monts.
