April 18, 2012 - Nice crisp wine. Had with grilled swordfish

January 14, 2012 - Needs a day vacu-vin time. This variety Nielluccio would be much better as part of a blend with a richer rose e.g. merlot (saignée method). Pop and pour at room temp, then aged one day vacu-vin in fridge. Powdery floral strawberry almost bittersweet nose on opening (my nose is off however). Sharp "bite" on entry with glycerin and a balanced salty tart citrus and white melon rind flavor. After 24 hrs fruit strengthened a bit with better balance with flavors of water veggie (cucumber), tart citrus (more lemon than orange), watermelon rind. Steady into the finish with a hint of bitterness, not unlike a citrus-flavored vodka. 100% Nielluccio. 13.5% abv. Body medium, acid medium (for a rose). OK QPR at USD 18. Needs blending.
