Community Tasting Notes 6

June 1, 2015 - Weekly tasting group #169; South Africa vs France (@ The factory by MN): Perfumed bouquet with ripe red fruits like strawberries and raspberries and some herbs and spices. Same on the palate, a bit fat, mild acidity and round, soft tannin. A correct wine, but not overly interesting.

August 27, 2013 - Pale intensity. Medium- intensity with red fruit (raspberry, cherry) and spice (black pepper) on the nose. Medium acidity and body, medium- tannins, red fruit carries over as well as the spice though there is also some sage and some toast. Medium finish, not for aging as there is not much to this wine. Had this with grilled strip loin. While it is good for every day drinking I also think there are better Pinot Noirs out there for the same price or not much more.

t - distinctively pinot, no jam, some savoury note but no life, no perfume
    a bit flat

July 21, 2012 - Would not recognise this as Pinot Noir but it is a cheerful well made wine for summer drinking
