June 7, 2022 - Cork was brittle and crumbled a bit upon opening. Had to change from a screw to an ah-so to get it out safely.
Colour was a deep garnet with slight bricking around the rim. Lovely aromas of sweet ripe fruit, worn leather, and damp earth. First sip indicated a bit of air was needed to settle VA and was decanted for about an hour. Surprisingly, very little sediment
Had I tasted this blind, I would have said it was a Bordeaux. Very nicely structured with melted tannins playing nicely with the integrated oak and still-going-strong acidity. Lively fruit of ripe cherries and cassis were prominent and sweet but not out of place. Medium-bodied with a nice medium finish. Doesn't have that extra something special, but enjoyable nonetheless. -

March 28, 2019 - Decanted for about 20 minutes and drank over an hour - it got better with every minute out of the bottle. Beautiful perfumed nose, easy drinking, fairly flat at the end.
