July 27, 2018 - Has matured nicely. Very different than last time. Similar flavor profiles but my bottle was fully integrated from last time with a little browning around the edge. Very enjoybale.

May 2, 2018 - Dark ruby with slight browning at rim. Medium(+) aromas of red fruit/plum with mild raisination and tar component. Moderate minerality with smell of ash. Moderate/high VA. Old world palate of red fruit with medium(+) acidity and grippy tannins. Opened up nicely on day 2 and much of the VA dissipated.

January 28, 2013 - Dried flowers and leather on the nose with some scents of aged meat. Bone-dry on the palate. Let me repeat that. Bone-dry. Great earthy flavors and chalky tannins. Gripping length and finish and is distinctively Aglianico and Italian. The true essence of Italian wine in this bottle, rustic and old-school.
