March 20, 2020 - The years have done wonders for this wine. On the nose black fruit, mushroom and forest floor. In the mouth this opens to black cherries, blackberries, leather and spice. This has evolved into a beautiful blend of tannin and and black fruit, which paired nicely with porcini steak and roasted root vegetables.

May 24, 2015 - Pour ceux qui croient que le millésime 2008 n’avait rien à offrir, et bien détrompez-vous car un bon producteur sait comment mettre son savoir à profit. Le second vin du Château Smith Haut-Lafite est un bel exemple dans l’appellation Pessac Léognan. Ce 2008 est coloré d’un beau rouge grenat sombre et surtout son bouquet ne passe pas inaperçu avec ses arômes de fruits noirs, de torréfaction, de réglisse et de bois. La bouche est franche et en rondeur et ses saveurs empyreumatiques se mélangent avec des notes de cassis et de fruits noirs. Riche avec ses tanins bien étoffés, il s’affiche comme un vin plaisir avec sa texture velouté. L’amateur de viande sera comblé en sa présence!

March 29, 2015 - Similaire à ma note précédente mais cette fois-ci bouteille ouverte 24hr avant. Tanins parfaitement intégrés et fruit très expressif. Miam!
