January 27, 2024 - Still garnet and opaque, with just a hint of amber at the edge. Pronounced and complex aromas of cassis with slight oak and herbs, some elegance and complexity. Full-bodied but very round and smooth, tannins completely resolved. Long slightly sweet aftertaste. Still excellent the second night but had lost a few points. Overall excellent but at the end of its plateau and should be consumed soon. Our last bottle of this vintage.

August 26, 2023 - Gave it several hours of slow ox. Nice Bordeaux fruit, a little heavy on acidity. Day 2 saw decay in red fruit in particular. I wouldn't say that it is in decline, but I'm shortening my drinking window on the remainder.

August 26, 2023 - Last tasted November 2021, same note: Ruby-garnet, some translucency, slight brown at the edge. Perhaps the softest and most elegant Cayuse, it's a Right-Bank Bordeaux style. The aroma is a sweet red and black fruit blend, with a touch of toasted French oak, a nice herbal touch. Plenty of soft, round flavors to match, complex and elegant, with mostly subtle red fruits. Fully mature; would not serve this with bold-flavored food, which would overpower it, but would be great with lighter sauces. Totally different from all the Cayuse syrahs, which are far more powerful, but this is equally great.
The next night it had definitely shown its age, so it should be drunk soon and all on the night it's opened.

August 25, 2023 - A good wine but felt it was missing something for its price point!

April 25, 2023 - WOW….after having subpar experiences with my last bottles of the ‘09 & ‘11, I popped a ‘16, which was an awesome experience giving me hope. Worried that I’m sitting on these too long, I popped my last of 6 of the ‘10 expecting a similar ‘09 & ‘11 experience. Boy was I wrong & damn it that this is my last one! Purchased direct from the winery & cellared since. PNP & this is singing right out of the gate….powerful dark red fruit, floral spice notes on the nose…sexy & intoxicating. But, the palate absolutely explodes…incredible balance, freshness, silky fine grained tannin with similar deep bright yet dark red fruit, spice, herbs. The front, mid & finish is all there. This is seamless & completely compelling! It has the tannin to age more but this was so stunning, id drink it now.
