May 28, 2017 - WSET, Level 1; 5/27/2017-5/28/2017 (The Vineyard at Florence, Florence, TX): Good representation of a Chateauneuf-du-Pape Southern Rhone, red blend. Primarily Grenache((70%), with lesser amounts of Syrah (15%), and Mourvèdre (10%). Notes of dried red fruits, spice, caramel, leather, and some dry earth. Good balance of structure, oak, and acid. Long, dry finish.

July 27, 2016 - Opened up after a couple hours. Light body but interesting enough. Great weeknight dinner wine. Pretty good for the price.
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. It smells like lead pencil and fig. The body is medium/full. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

June 19, 2016 - Well balanced, lots intense complexity of fruit and earthy flavors, that pleasantly lingers for a nice amount of time!

April 16, 2016 - Good fruity flavor, fairly dark in color, Nice bouquet of mixed berries and earth, pleasant but not spectacular.

November 22, 2014 - Deep ruby red leaning towards garnet. Young with medium intensity. On the nose: black fruit, cherry, Christmas cake, , dark chocolate with a hint of garrigue. Dry with high acidity, medium tannins (that or they are just smooth!) and high alcohol. Full body featuring black fruit, black cherry and tea leaf, black pepper and savory spice on the back palate. Finish is medium +.

A great wine for the price point. Seems light for a CduP, but well integrated with a nice finish despite a slightly tart mid palate. It will improve with a couple of years in the cellar.
