January 7, 2022 - Still a youthful Burgundian colour that lightens at the edges with a tawny looking rim. Lovely light red berries and dried rose petals, first opening of a bag of dried fig. Some more notes of rose petal water with a light cedar cigar box hue. At its peak and wonderful while delicate. Red cherry and strawberry on the palate with a mild backbone of liquorice. Still a tart mouthfeel with a long finish.

March 25, 2021 - aired it out in a decanter for over an hour. had it with a steak. the wine was bold and fragrant and chewy and tasty.

December 23, 2020 - Having read some of the tasting notes it does remind me to mention that correct storage for a wine past 5 years of age is essential. Dark, still, cool and flat are the criteria. This wine was youthful in appearance with a crimson hue. Definitely needs about 45 minutes of air. Opens up to red fruits with still vibrant acidity on the palate. Has a powerful bouquet of figs in balsamic dressing. Excellent integration of constituents. I think it is at peak and should stay that way for some time.
