August 1, 2021 - No obvious flaw here -- not premoxed, not corked, not heat-damaged. But this is as godawful as it comes. Undrinkably bitter from the oak. On the same level as Marcassin: it's that bad. But unlike Marcassin, this doesn't even have the oily/buttery texture to counteract the harshness. No acidity either, which is extra surprising for the vintage. Slightly rotten on the finish too. Disjoint and alcoholic. Down the sink.

October 19, 2016 - Very good. The color is deep yellow and the wine shows some caramel notes but it is not oxidized at all, and in fact the aromas are fresh and airy, especially with a half hour open. Has richness of fruit and although there is plenty of flesh, the wine feels energetic and focused. The minerality is not terribly pronounced. Delicious and satisfying, if not terribly complicated. Agree wit one drinker who said that this is one to get into now, not a ot of upside in cellaring further.

    January 14, 2014 - Starting it's slow fade…but still very good

October 23, 2012 - Birthday Dinner (Yusho - Chicago IL): Rich aromas of apple and pear with a slightly sweet, spiced character. Great textures, great energy from start-to-finish. Pops on finish. Very impressive for its level.
