October 28, 2018 - Beautiful and marvelous. Went better with braised short ribs, yorkshire pudding and pureed potato than the 13 Newton Unfiltered Cab.

November 17, 2017 - This is my second bottle of this in a couple of weeks. Both bottles have been 'off' bottles. Tight fisted aromas. On the palate both bottles have had sour cherry notes with little of the polish and silkiness that was present in a bottle consumed three years ago.

I am starting to think this wine is from young vines as the concentration is not there. Perhaps in a dumb phase, but I'm suspicious that is the case. Stored in a temp and humidity controlled environment since release.

November 26, 2014 - Opened this wine to serve with a grilled steelhead. This is a very elegant wine that paired perfectly with our meal.

Aroma - I have been fighting a cold, so the aromas were struggling to get through, but noticeable elements were raspberry, strawberry, and a bit of licorice.

Palate - This is such a balanced wine right now. On the entry, there is ripe cherry along with spice box and raspberry. There is fresh acidity that accents the spice box coming through in the mid palate where the wine picks up a nice minerality that is blended with the polished tannins. This has a juicy element of fruit on the back palate, and the acidity, minerality, tannins, and spice elements fold together with great precision.

My wife and I were fighting the urge to open another bottle after dinner because this wine really glides across the palate. This wine has the qualities that remind me of why a good Burgundy can't be replicated anywhere else in the world.

We purchased a case and this was our first bottle. It will be hard to watch this develop as it brings such incredible pleasure right now. I wish I had bought two more cases. This has a long life ahead. Drink or hold as you won't be disappointed.

May 23, 2014 - Very fine wine, silky and smooth. Decanted it for 1 hour.

December 28, 2012 - Bright and fruity and way too young right now. Some wines can be opened way too young for a fun or even hedonistic experience. Unfortunately this is not one of them. It is just overly dominated by the fruit with nothing to balance it.
