See previous note. A fabulous and more restrained Calif Chardonnay.
Nice acids, some light tropical flavors but more so lemon and apple, which is to my preference.
Gorgeous finish with citrus, apple, and very deft touch of oak. -

April 8, 2013 - What a brilliant Northern Calif Chard.
Clor is med straw with fast dropping legs.
On the nose, gorgeous citrus-driven aromas are developing, showing lemon, apple, pear, and a judicious note of oaky vanilla.
The palate is med in body, showing off a dry wine with med alcohol. The flavors echo from the palate, with bright citrus fruit bolstered by med (+) acidity, leading into a med(+) length finish that hides any overt sign of new oak and feels so right.
This is not a big and boisterous Chard, this is a more elegant rendition that shows what Calif is capable of if the winemaker so desires. Terroir in spades.
Tis very good quality wine is drinking well now, and should continue to do so for another 3-4 years. -
