December 23, 2011 - On the nose we have notes of licorice, slight floral like a field of violets, and dried cranberry. The palate has a definite raspberry taste accompanied by oak and a tart finish. A bit acidic on the palate for a zin, but an interesting interpretation of this varietal. Great paired with roasted cornish game hens.
