September 15, 2011 - Tasted with a great friend and connoisseur. An absolutely amazing wine. Shows the depth and beauty great burgundy can attain. At nearly 70, this wine is drinking perfectly. No sign of aging or bricking. Wonderful light and vibrant raspberry color, nearly no lightening of the edges. Rather unusual. The nose is absolutely fantastic, jumps out of the glass, clean and fresh, not mushroomy or decaying. Wonderful red fruits aromas, raspberry and cherries in alcohol. Clean fresh cut grass, field aromas. Mature pinots aromas but not decaying or aged. Perfect balance and depth. A truly magnificent wine.
