December 2, 2015 - A light hues of red....still displaying primary fruits of cherries and rose petals. On the palate more cherries and tart raspberries, a hint of vanilla and herb. The finish was silky but short. Not sure why it underwhelmed....perhaps I'm drinking to much new world Pinot's.

November 26, 2014 - light plum red, lots of clarity, silvery hue
Nose: raspberry, clove, earth, vanilla, silver, thyme, rustic, touch wood

    Feel: medium

November 15, 2014 - Reductive. Aggressively dusty. Unimpressive. Likely an off bottle since I adore his whites so...

September 3, 2012 - Reductive. Burnt rubber immediately assaults your nose. The fruit is shrinking in the background while the acid is prominent and the tannin is adequate. Needs some time to come into balance. No overt wood.

January 27, 2012 - Light ruby. Some reduction on the nose, after some time and swirling aromas of sweet cherries, earth, light oak toast and smoke. Flavors where sharp cherry/mineral. Medium body, medium finish. In need of a couple years bottle age. Solid wine, equal to a high end Bourgogne.

Food Pairing

Community Recommendations

chicken w/ cream and green peppers, grilled pork chops. Not a 'steak' wine. Would likely be good with fish or pasta, pork w/ adobo, pork w/ mustard cream
