October 8, 2019 - Similar notes as my Sept 2019 tasting (and again best on day 3 but solid on day 2 as well). I let it breathe for 2.5 hours on day 1. Apparently that was not enough.

September 24, 2019 - 14.8% ABV. This wine was actually best on day 3, after I'd had a greasy dinner. Too closed and tart on day 1 (would have given it a 92 but for day 3). An inky, rich wine with distinct licorice notes, with a long juicy finish. Definitely pair this one with a meal. Will get more out of it. Maybe some bottle variation here. I still have two to go.

April 13, 2019 - Opaque plum color, slight ruby at the edges. Nose is not giving up anything beyond wood and earth notes. Flavors are full bodied and well balanced, fruit and tertiary notes about even. Deep red berry, ripe strawberry and black cherry meet forest floor and cedar mulch, declining through a well balanced, medium long finish. Tannins arrive at mid palate for a surprising bump, and it's not unpleasant. Drinking very well now.

August 31, 2016 - The Bomb! Decanted and found only tannic "grit" at the end. Let rest for 2.5 hours before consuming. Loaded with fruit and more fruit. No defects what so ever. Fantastic red fruit nose with terrific intense red fruits and spice on the tongue. This wine is still very young, but very enjoyable now. So glad we have another bottle aging in the cellar.

July 16, 2016 - Terrific wine and even at the $150 price point it is still a great value. While it is a big wine, it is extremely well rounded and balanced. The cab franc is not as prominent as you might think and the wine itself drinks as a typical Oakville Cab. The wine is drinking now so enjoy. Well done Bevan.
