June 24, 2018 - Very nice and ready now

November 17, 2015 - Tasted with other, mostly new world pinots. Slight browning, and a mixed volatile nose. A bit OTH, but carrying a nice amount of sweet dark fruit. Lengthy finish. Drink up and enjoy.

January 30, 2012 - Decent but not great. Oak seems much more integrated than the last bottle... no flaws with this, but nothing really seemed to stand out to me. Aromatic complexity, flavor impact... just not where I like them in my burgs. Seemed much more balanced than my last bottle though and there was some tannic structure in the background. Who knows, maybe some more time in the cellar will bring this wine around... 20-25years may end up being this wines drinking window. (Kacher import)

December 5, 2010 - Decanted for about an hour. Medium to dark color and nose of dark red fruit, earth, flowers, some oak spice. A bit tight on the palate at first then opening up with expansive black cherry, mineral/graphite impression on the mid-palate, decent acidity and moderate length on the finish.

March 14, 2010 - This is a Bobby Kacher import. Left in glass for about an hour before starting to drink. Nice on the nose, a bit of the decay smell I like in burgs with some age. I have to say, a bit of a let down. The first JJ Confuron wine I haven't loved (although before this, '04 was the furthest back I have gone). Nothing terrible here, but not what I would expect from a Grand Cru.. even a lower tier Grand Cru like Clos Vougeot. There is some impact and length on the palate but everything is a bit disjointed. Seems a bit oaky as well... but what do I know. I would have to say that Meadow's note is spot on here. A bit of fruit left, but no reason not to drink now. In short: A nice drink in a good place, but I have come to expect more from this producer.
