It really reminded me of the Domaine Pepiere red from 4 or 5 years ago that I liked so much. Had that floral quality that I sometimes associate with a good Loire red. Sour cherries, a little earth, and a lot of tannins. I think this was about $20 at the winery. Sometimes you get home with a bottle like that and realize that you got carried away with the ambiance of the tasting room. Not this time. If we were going back, I would snag another few bottles.
