April 11, 2021 - This was tasty -- liked it much better with some age. We had it outside, so I didn't get the best read on it. It's still big, but it is less over-the-top than I recall from its youth.

January 19, 2021 - I get the sense many reviewers may have enjoyed the wine more if they had given it more cellar time. That said... this is not your typical international red with big jammy fruit and gobs of oak - or even close to a mainstream euro wine. Nose gives substantial floral notes of lavender rosemary rose and violet. Hints of well managed VA. Black fruits and bramble too. Palate well balanced with supporting acid and extensive earthy mineral tones along with substantial fruit. For me this is a compelling if unusual wine. There is a lot of beautiful complexity there and it works great with food.

February 4, 2018 - Very interesting wine. Soft fruit tones but with herbaceous second tones that remind me of a rose garden. If I didn’t know of this style of wine, I’d be surprised but really enjoyed this wine.

November 25, 2017 - I purchased 4 of these wines from Rimmerman back in 2011. I have had 2 of them so far, and both felt very manipulated, with ripe and candied flavors and an odd, off-putting vinyl or sulfur note that completely turned me off. I decided to try bottle #3 today, with some "bar food" (wings, etc) during some college football games. FINALLY, the wine seems to be coming around, and is coming across as enjoyable. Still not my favorite profile, but I see the underlying quality here (referenced in Galloni's positive reviews on other vintages). Drink now through 2019+, it is getting there...

April 27, 2017 - Another great showing. Tasted on the second night, very floral, lavender and violet, interesting and complex, this is very different but well balanced and with a long tasty finish.
