    September 19, 2016 - Better with age!

January 31, 2016 - Popped and poured at 6PM. Inky black and initially quite closed. By 10 PM it had opened up a bit with more pronounced tannins. We corked it and opened it up again 24 hours later but it had faded. 87 initially; 89 at its peak. Average 88.

March 16, 2014 - Classic meaty notes when opened. Tannins that will hold a knife. Needs years to come together. Was actually better 3 days later.

March 9, 2014 - Drank over two nights. Dark in glass, very smoky. Popped and poured on first night; the wine really did not coalesce. Fruit was overpowered by the smoke. Benefited from some aeration - much more balanced on night 2, with smoke still present by complemented by berries, earthiness, and some minerality.
