    August 26, 2015 - Végétal lui aussi,olive verte,tapenade d'olives noires.
Piment d'espelette.Plus acide et que le Rougeard.
Il va s'améliorer avec le temps et à 29$, méchant strong buy.
    89 pts +.

December 15, 2013 - Bloody meat, iron, lead pencil, tart red fruits on the nose. Good depth with just a tad of barnyard -- enough to add interest. Lots of crunchy acid but not at all shrill. Also a little salinity on the finish. Great Qpr.

June 17, 2013 - Me: It's our last bottle of Philippe Alliet.
    Wife: No!!!
Me: I smell plum, cherry, a bit of lemon drop candy.
    Wife: You smell lemon drop?
    Me: I taste plum.
Wife: Definitely plum, and some rose petal.
Me: Yes, rose petal and pencil lead.
Wife: Pencil lead or pencil eraser?
Me: Maybe a bit of both, but more lead. And a slight touch of earth and vegetation. It's also quite subtle, yet so full of flavor.
Wife: Stop talking. Pour me another glass.

March 10, 2013 - Great Chinon and a fantastic QPR.
This is a great example of a what Cabernet Franc can be. Dark fruits, fresh with a little bell pepper note / herbal touch.
    I loved it.

May 11, 2012 - Perfectly balanced with lovely structure. Classic bell pepper notes on medium weight fruit. Clean line from fruit to generous acids and light tannin. Terrific if not complicated. I'm looking forward to trying more from Allient if this is a typical example of the wine making.
