Community Tasting Notes 2

October 20, 2013 - Dull medium ruby colour, good legs. Ripe cherry, licorice, pepper and prominent alcohol on the nose. The taste gives up both red and black berries, tobacco, and some spice. Pleasing, round mouth feel with good acidity and powdery tannins on the slightly harsh finish. Straightforward and a bit rustic, but a solid value-priced bourgogne, likely helped along by the vintage.

January 19, 2013 - Good pairing wine. Red meat. Light enough for strong seafood.
