May 7, 2011 - Five bottles found in mixed case – expected them to be gone but still a deep color and very drinkable. Improved noticeably after being open for 2 hours.

June 1, 2008 - Picked up in a San Giminano wine store for a mere 23 EuR. Looking good at 8yrs. Deep blood red in colour with some minor lightening at the rim. Savoury tinged nose, very varietal with some earthy notes. Palate is lighter than expected but still very complete. Good streak of acid, savoury red fruits, decent tannic bite, and a hint of pong to finish. Should drink well for 2 - 4 years.

December 27, 2006 - Deep plum in appearance. Great nose full of blackcurrant jam, vanilla and some dark tobacco leaf. Very smooth on the palate - lots of jammy sweet dark fruits - blackberries, blackcurrants, cherries - good medium tannins which are integrated well. Excellent Chianti.
