January 31, 2020 - Iberian Wimps (La Trompette, Chiswick): Medium/deep garnet core, wide pale garnet rim. Complex, welcoming classic Rioja nose - leather, cigar box, soil. Medium bodied, leathery red fruit, spice, tobacco, soft tannins, fresh acidity, good length gently savoury finish. Harmonious, balanced, mellow, complete.

September 24, 2012 - Earthy black fruit nose. Clear bright mouth, smooth sweet raspberry and cherry fruit, dark edge, very clean - v little wood, delicious. Some secondary flavours developing but still young. Only a slight grainy wood texture might keep you from guessing burgundy. Good value.
Much more than a junior reserva - a purer version with plenty of ageing potential.
