January 17, 2015 - Big brooding red that benefits from aeration. Dark, dark fruit & rich oak/spice complexity. Really nice but "heavy" - not a pleasant afternoon quaffer.

July 13, 2014 - It was really nice with BBQ rib eye steaks. Decanted for about an hour.

September 28, 2013 - Violet and cedar spice box scents drifted from the decanter (decanted for 1 hour first). A closer sniff brought out a lush velvety note of bacon fat. Tasting brought a beautifully balanced red fruit, dark plum, and pepper mix finishing long and harmonious, with mild oak and hints of smoke. This was a real gem and I'm sad it was my last bottle of this vintage.

March 8, 2012 - - Brick color with medium forming legs. It's in total harmony with a full body. Silky texture with a medium finish.
