Community Tasting Notes 2

May 12, 2012 - Blind Spanish Reds Tasting (Minneapolis, MN): Tasted blind. Dark ripe fruit aromas. Overly tannic and lacks intensity.

September 19, 2011 - Exploring Navarra, Part 2/3 (Pamplona, Spain): This wine shows itself as full bodied even on the nose. Dark plum scents mix with blackberries and earth while a touch of heat shows itself. Bright acidity that reminds me of green apples shows itself right away on the palate. Some tannins settle in on the sides of the palate late while simple plum flavors run down the middle. The structure is a bit big for me relative to the fruit, but this will certainly appeal more to folks who like their reds to have a little more muscle.
