May 21, 2016 - Some pretty interesting stuff going on here. This is a big fruit forward "New World" style red wine with gushing upfront, sweet young fruit, but is almost 7 years old. Evidently released sometime in 2015, this is their intended settle, and it is tasty. The big blue fruit is definitely king here, but there are some nuanced secondary flavors, and especially some big tannins that must have been monstrous a few years ago. Almost teeth staining dark purple color. Soft, expressive and fun to drink.

October 30, 2015 - Big, blowsy, with raspberry candy notes that seem a little over the top and out of balance. Fairly hot, with some varietally correct funky/animal characteristics adding interest.
