December 20, 2019 - Pop and pour, great out of the bottle but best after two hours. This is my favorite cuvee from Clos St. Jean, with great intensity of red and black fruit, saline minerality, chocolate, spice, and full body. It's a really modern wine that could easily be taken for a Washington or Paso high-end Rhone blend. Drinking great now and I expect for many years to come.

February 19, 2019 - High End Châteauneuf-du-Pape Dinner, Part 2 (Wear House): Single blind in 2010 flight. Very ripe, very dense and powerful. Sweet and savory spice coming out, particularly on finish. Very good now.

May 5, 2018 - W have enjoyed this much more this time - not enough delta to have aged significantly more, so maybe it’s us! Really evolved over time in the glass.
Initially: menthol, pine, purple flowers . No barnyard thankfully
One hour later: sweet blackberry , vanilla, cloves, maybe cinnamon
Medium tannins. Really delicious with dinner, tuna/foie gras, lamb

October 15, 2017 - Nose of candied ripe red cherries, saltiness, bacon, hint of chocolate... very salty, integrated tannin, good freshness, loads of salty red cherries, 30 seconds finish, quite sappy!!

September 25, 2017 - Weekly tasting group RWP #264: Southern Rhône 12 x 2010 (@ VD): Beautiful and complex bouquet with garrigue, ripe fruits and some pleasant toast. On the palate a harmonious treat! Cherries, plums, black olives, some minerals. Complex and still so youthful. Beautiful balance between sweetness, acidity and round tannin. A great wine with still a great future. 97 – 98
