October 23, 2020 - Interesting Barbera with a nose of cranberries, blueberries and some cloves. Quite intense on the palate with striking freshness and medium body. Adherent to the house style with good aging potential.

December 31, 2019 - Another unremarkable Barbera...Similar to Tempranillo (for different reasons) I find Barbera always pleasant but rarely memorable or remarkable and usually fairly one dimensional. I chose this to have with the spicy Mexican food we were having at our New Year’s Eve Party with our annual group who we met mostly 15 years ago in Hoboken when we had an apartment there. It went well with the spice given its low tannin level but was pretty generically a red fruited, easy drinking “quaffer”.

August 6, 2018 - Ljusröd färg i kanten, tät kärna

Hallon/salmiak pastill, träigt, lite aceton, körsbär

Hög syra, torrt, strävt, medium+ längd

    En bra och trevlig barbera!

August 6, 2018 - Clear, medium intensity, garnet color.

A bit muted right upon opening but after a while opens up and shows black cherry, black tea, rose hips, wet soil, shoe polish and old wood.
Bone dry on the palate with fine-grained tannins and orange-like acidity. Medium to full bodied with very good intensity to the flavors. Sour cherry, black tea, rose hips and some old murky wood. There's a bit of warmth from the alcohol on the lingering finish.

Very tasty and easy-drinking and graceful Barbera that rather made me think of Nebbiolo/Nerello Mascalsese than Barbera. It could've used some more acidity to really get that lovely lift but I guess that is just the vintage showing. Ready to drink.

August 25, 2017 - Quite rich and hot on the nose initially. Became more perfumed with time in the glass. Took a while to fully unfurl in the glass.
Clean and precise fruit on the palate. Rich cherries. Red fruits. Something slightly dark and brooding on the finish. Hint of tar even?
Tannins softened quite quickly with some air.
