Community Tasting Notes 10

July 18, 2015 - Drinking really well. Smells of liniment, compost and smoked meets. Has some tart berry fruit and plenty of earth and spice in the mouth. Tannins are soft but supportive and the wine is mid-weight and impeccably proportioned.

September 24, 2014 - Lacks a bit concentration and complexity from what I expect of a wine on this level.

July 3, 2014 - La robe on dirait un bourgogne. Le vin était expressif dès l'ouverture malgré ses 14 ans. Nez de violette et d'olive noire. Bon équilibre en bouche.

October 5, 2011 - Medium red color. Low energy nose, with bare hints of cherry, garrigue, cedar. Low tannin, medium acidity; fairly tart. On the palate, narrow fruit and a firm acidic spine that don't beckon for long. Re-corked and saved overnight, with no noticeable developments. None. Ouch. An off-effort from this house. Looks like this will do fine though, for today's chuck roast braising liquid, but we'll reserve a couple glasses for dinner too.

August 15, 2011 - On two days extremely delicious and a real pleasure, a wine in perfect balance.
