Community Tasting Notes 5

February 14, 2020 - Classic claret nose, the palate is classically clean and pure in the southern France style, nice fresh fruit and berries with underlying sour tones, dry mouthfeel, cassis, ink/blood, sooth, clean forest floor and hints of animal notes, resolved tannins and appropriate acidity to support the overall experience, clearly a good bottle, very enjoyable, must be a crime to get this good and aged claret for 24 euros but no complaints.

March 17, 2018 - Wow, super animal nose, fur, bacon, leather, orange blood, roasted meat, smoky... Very fresh integrated tannin, red fruit and cherries, good length, some minerality

December 14, 2014 - After proper decanting and airing, this wine has a very great nose. In the mouth, it also has superb aroma's. The less great side is that it is a bit dry. A very complex mouthful but somewhat too dry. Still, I would not want to have to miss this wine.

May 19, 2012 - i would have guessed this to be a warm vintage Chateau Talbot or similar. dark, complex nose of black currents and spices. medium full body with some hint of anis and violets. good length. very nice wine. drink now.
