November 1, 2023 - Black fruit, liquorice, menthol and earthy notes. Lacking intensity and expression, possibly already in decline. Drink now.

January 29, 2022 - Torkade frukter, mjuk men kort smak som tyder på att det peakat tidigare. Gott vardagsvin men en bit kvar till höga betyg .

December 11, 2021 - I wrote about this wine 5 years ago, a positive review then. This wine is probably at its peak now. The color has taken on a warmer tone. The wine is still white dark and slightly opaque. On the nose the bouquet is black fruit with a hint of earth. On the palate, the wine has good structure and body. Dark fruit and a bit of earth shoen on the palate. It isn’t a sophisticated or complex wine but it did grow and open up on a few hours. It is an excellent wine for the barely over $10 price. It is better than a few years ago and it shows how much lower end Bordeaux wines have improved in the last couple of decades. Of course being a 2009 doesn’t hurt either. Not saying this is a great wine but it is a very nice everyday wine.

November 28, 2020 - Bought 6b for 10/b from TJ's eight years ago; this is #3. Decanted with normal sediment for its age. Darker purple; cooked fruit nose and body--perhaps a storage problem. Tried the '08 the next night--bought about a year earlier--and it was delicious. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement, then condo basement locker since purchase--but then a main floor closet at room temp (no AC) for the past year. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" are misleading. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. Because of the storage question, I won't rate this one, but it was barely drinkable.

November 13, 2020 - Moving into the drinking window, offering genuine Bordeaux drinking pleasure at a reasonable price. Still fresh black berries, liquirice and mentholic notes. Drink now and over the coming 3 years.
