April 20, 2023 - Was initially concerned that the wine might be flawed due to the cork condition, but fortunately it released just fine. Not much character on the nose. Some blackberry Maybe vanilla. Medium bodied. Dark cherry red in color. Initial sip was like a punch in the face so we let sit for a bit. Wine started to open up after about 30 minutes Well balanced on the palate. Tart cherries on the front Pepper and hints of tabacco on the finish. Tannis still apparent even after decanting. Finished half the bottle. Letting it rest a bit to see how it changes.

May 28, 2017 - Needed about an hour but after that a wonderful burgundy. Not a lot of nose but really nice flavors. Fantastic qpr. Would buy again.

June 21, 2015 - Good solid wine with a good qpr. Needs about 30 min to open up. Nice mouthfeel, pretty nose and decent finish. Don't think you can ask for much more at this price point.

January 22, 2015 - Nose is cherries and strawberries. Ripe.

Palate enters ripe and red, then moves to half ripe strawberry with some tartness. Cherry present on the finish with some mineralogy and a touch of spicy tobacco. Gets better every sip, though not fantastic. 2 hour decant. Could use more time but drinking well.
