September 17, 2022 - Dinner at Imperial Treasure GWC. Dark, deep purple colour. Soft tannins, fully resolved. Big and full bodied. Rich, ripe and deeply fruited. No signs of fading fruit or advanced evolution. Taste profile undeniably reflects a warm vintage but avoids overt jamminess and retains good balance.

April 22, 2022 - Very dark, almost black in the glass. Nose of wet leather, wet forrest floor with a touch of vanilla- exellent, high class! The palate offers dark berries, well integrated oak paired with present acidity and slightly drying tannins. Medium plus body on a medium long finish. Not the most complex wine on this planet, but pleasure to drink now and over the next decade.

March 26, 2021 - 2 hour aeration in glass. Reddish brown in colour. No sediment at this point. Aromas of dried berry/plum fruit, leather, cedar, spices. Smells old and dusty …. but not in a bad way. Flavours show leather and tobacco with dried berry and plum fruit. Dusty slightly drying tannins. Acidity is waning …. maybe a small touch of flabbiness. Bit of sherry-like after taste which goes away to a large extent over time in the glass. Tasty wine but definitely declining. Medium weight.
Saved a glass for day 2 …. declined in quality. Kind of fell apart, a bit disjointed.

January 18, 2020 - 1 hour decant was perfect. Dark purple color. Nose of firewood burning on a cold night. Wine is dark cherry with some medicinal elements. Great depth! Medium finish. High quality producer in my mind as this is the first time I’ve had it. I really enjoyed it. Paired well with seasoned, marinated beef skewers and lamb steak.

February 25, 2018 - Received as a gift. Poured into decanter and drank over 1h. Dark fruit, earth, some tar notes. Lacks a bit concentration on the mid palate but not bad given the vintage. Short (+) finish.
