October 7, 2023 - Cork in excellent shape and removed with durand. Decanted. Little sediment. Deep garnet colour in the glass with an enticing aroma of dark fruits including black ruby plums and mulberries integrated with oak spice. Tasting showcases fresh fruit flavours juxtaposed with savoury leather and gum bending tannins. Long smooth finish with liquorice, olives and morello cherries. I’m a huge fan of this style and appreciate that after 20+ years this wine has so much freshness. Yum

February 24, 2023 - The 2003 Jasper Hill Georgia's Paddock Shiraz is an impressive wine with a deep ruby color. On the nose, the wine exhibits a range of dark fruit notes, such as blackberry and plum, which are seamlessly integrated with oak. At 15% alcohol, the aroma of the wine hints at its strength and richness. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a plethora of fruit flavors, which are beautifully balanced and complemented by the wine's tannins. The wine finishes with a long-lasting leather aftertaste that speaks of its maturity and complexity. This Shiraz has plenty of life left but drinking really well right now.

March 18, 2022 - Nasty chemical flavour, acetone like. Not typical of Jasper Hill, or Georgia's Paddock. There wines are well known to me, and this was far removed from the usual.

February 19, 2022 - 8.5/10 - Just as good as I remembered it. Drinking really well now. Juicy sweet red fruit. Some chocolate. Good acidity balanced against sufficient heft.

(JASPER HILL GEORGIA'S PADDOCK) #1; COLOR-great; NOSE-really nice dark chocolate, raspberry, still tight, more polished; TASTE-Wow, HUUGE wine, tremendous backbone & structure, great mid-palate, firm-long-rich-rugged tannins coming from beginning of mid-palate all the way to the finish; dark chocolate flavors on the finish, little leather, shoe polish, very dark, black currant, mountain fruit, Polished, this is how great Shiraz can come across as World Class; based on tannins could last 35 Years!; Unbelievable & Spectacular effort, reminds me of $200-$500 Penfold Granges; RP-94; GV-95
