  February 10, 2019 - Generally a big fan of kamen but this one didn’t quite live up to the, admittedly high, expectations. It was good but slightly saline/iron and not enough of the fruit I expect from kamen. Bigger picture is the still good at the price point but have enjoyed other vintages quite a bit more.

  December 19, 2018 - Hmm I have a magnum of the 2007 cab that should be fab in a couple of years. This is still tasting well and has more time.

  July 14, 2018 - Tasted side-by-side with the 2009 Kamen a couple years ago, and the 2008 was overmatched, so my expectations for this were pretty low. a pleasant surprise. Gave it about an hour of air before tasting. Assertive nose - mostly plums. Plums on the palate, along with a healthy dose of black cherries. Quite rich, with a lot of viscosity. Viscosity and big fruit produced an excellent finish. Probably at its peak, and, given the vintage, probably won't last much longer.

  November 17, 2017 - Plum, candied fruit, charcoal, hint of raspberry and blackberry, Christmas spice, tannins oak and acid subsided.
