September 20, 2020 - Served my last 3 bottles (out of 18) with brisket for Rosh Hashanah, and felt that they had just a bit less energy and cut than previously. So, this was the right time to drink them up. Amazing wine, amazing value.

July 11, 2016 - Love these aged Etna Rossos from this winery, such a versatile wine, goes well with anything. No flaw or excessive funk on this one, showed beautifully. Last one of my 2002s, sad to see it go (93+).

May 30, 2016 - A good bottle with nice fruit and a good deal of nuance. Nice nose, some ashes and leather and herb on the palate, clean finish. Bottle variation with this wine, but this one drank very well.

April 10, 2016 - 90/91. Drank side-by-side along with a 2009 Castello Allegracore -- this played the deep, dank, tarry Barolo relief to the former's fresher, juicier Barbaresco. (2.5-3 hr. decant.)

April 2, 2016 - Incredibly tight cork, barely stained. Clear transparent light red. Savory aromas. Tight behind the fresh fruit. Very enjoyable on its own. Better with food. Given the notional extended drinking window, it will be interesting to see where this goes.
