Community Tasting Notes 9

December 24, 2011 - Massive wine, big fruit but not jammy, very "hot" on the palate, explosive but not fine tannins. Higher acid than normal. Good with hearty fare. Medium complexity and finish

November 26, 2010 - Smokey, chocolaty, earthy, smokey, rich, full mouthed, chewy, over ripped dark fruit! Have had 12+ bottles over time. Never disappointed. Deep flavor. Not very crisp in its palate, however, a wonderful amalgam. Enjoy it with a thick steak or smelly cheeses. An absolute find at an exellent price point (paid $13-14). Decant for atleat 1 hour, then enjoy.

November 20, 2008 - Decanted 30 min. Palate is somewhat dead due to a cold, but this one still pulled through. Just what I needed! Strong enough fruit to make it through my sickness-deadened taste buds, with some nice earth in there too. I love toro wines!

September 12, 2008 - A bit of what GV would call 'poopy' on the nose and palate with this bottle. Not a bad thing, but wasn't quite as enjoyable as previous bottles.

August 8, 2008 - Decanted 30 min. Consistent with prior tasting notes. Lots of sediment, decanting/filtering recommended.
