February 14, 2021 - Fresh and young, despite the age. Still lots of tannins as well. Like it a lot, for what it is. 2003 is a very different vintage.

December 2, 2019 - My best bottle of this wine
Took to the French restaurant in Boca with Jasmines crowd
    Decanted for 30 mins
    Beautiful burg nose
With a nice medium body complexity still full of fruit in very good spot now but no rush
    I wish I had more

June 9, 2015 - Deep colour, good balance, nose fruit, taste had little overt oak but good fit. Seemed like plenty of life left

November 27, 2014 - Very nice mid to full body burg. Pulled it out from my cellar last minute before going to Oyster River Bar. Could've used a good 2 hr decanting. Tannins are present but you can taste the fruit and freshness of this wine. Needs a few more years to shine.
    Great qpr

November 20, 2013 - A nice burgundy just entering drinking window. Tannins are present obscuring some of the fruit but I think this will develop nicely in the next 3-5 years

Burgundy-Report

(Grivot Jean Vosne-Romanée) Frankly, I’ve little experience of recent Grivots, so this will be interesting: Deep colour. Dense but not at all clunky red fruit - a little tight but nothing ungainly - slowly building some higher tones, rounding out to be quite lithe and not a bit jammy - a good 2003 nose. Mouth-filling though also a little mouth-puckering from the tannin, yet the acidity is not bad. Just a little mouth-watering which combined with the tannin that clings to your gums makes this quite long - incredibly young though. Not a bit of roasted fruit and showing enough energy on the palate. Clearly this needs lots of cellar time but it’s a very successful wine for the vintage - well done Etienne!
