February 17, 2012 - Popped and poured. Fairly light garnet-red color. Huge nose of ripe pinot fruit, some smoke and fresh berries. Ripe again on the palate with full pinot fruit flavor, outstanding, savory acidity and a rather short finish. Wow, I can't recall ever having a pinot noir this typical of the varietal and this good for this price. It is fashioned for early drinking yet still oozes pinot character. A steal at $11!
