April 6, 2024 - This was probably a little long in the tooth but I love to see well preserved examples of modest wines like these. They are fun. Developed aromas of leather, tea, wilting flowers and drying fruits, hinting at brown sugar but not dominated, balsamic in a way, still quite savory and lush this is good in small doses but it went out fighting.

January 16, 2015 - 30 min decant. Ruby-garnet in appearance; red berry fruits, some garrigue, and some provencal herbs on the nose. Getting some kirsch, a tad of black cherries, and some black and red licorice on the palate. Finishes pretty nicely and there are still some tannins on the front. I've always been impressed by St Damien from their CdR to their Gigondas and this one does not disappoint at all.

December 23, 2014 - Classic CDR. Nice balance, texture - no heat. Red and Blue fruits with a touch of minerality. Right time to drink these. 90 Points

September 23, 2014 - Tuesday Night $20-$35 Double Blind (Bin 75): Dark core with thin garnet rim; dark fruit, raspberry, garrigue, raspberry pie, sweet and rich; dark and brooding a bit on the palate, raspberry, classic S. Rhone, baby aspirin, young, a freshness that makes this rich wine seem lighter, some sweet fruit on finish; good but still too young; many called Gigondas on this which I could not dispute.
